I am fully involved in conservation and am one of the founder member and a custodian of the Barn swallows and their Roost site located at Mount Moreland, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The Lake Victoria roost site has a population of approximately 3 million Barn Swallows and is fast becoming a major tourist attraction.
Visitors arrive in droves to witness this natural wonder at sunset times when the Barn Swallows come home to roost.
This unbelievable phenomenon occurs for 6 months of the year October-April and is a feast for the eyes and soul of people whom come to witness this awe inspiring event.
