New Era in Art

 The world is evolving rapidly and everything is moving ahead at an extremely fast and exciting pace. A With this in mind and as the main focus topic of this article a ‘new era in art’ one must reflect for a moment. What has led this developing process of transformation and why?
This has all became eminent with the introduction of the personal computer (P.C.), the internet and new digital technology, this mindboggling new technology still very much in infancy stages and early development, one can only wonder where is all this leading to and heading and what will be next!

This new digital era is truly transforming every aspect of our daily lives, even without us really taking much notice of it. Take for example the cell phone or mobile phone, they have only been around for only a few years and yet they are very much incorporated into our own daily lives and business. What did we do without these innovative inventions?
One could add endless accounts of digital improvements implemented very simply into our very own day to day living experiences.
These are very interesting times we are living in, everything has a path or course to grow and evolve naturally and nothing is stagnant. Inventors are constantly creating new and useful inventions for consumers.
All this new technology and innovatively now applies very much to a new form of art that is emerging from this digital era in the world of art.

There are numerous forms of digital art, graphic art, visual arts and 3D software that one can purchase and utilize in many, many different art and design spheres, there really is such a wide and varied range of different design applications available. Also a digital camera with a high megapixel count is a ‘must have’ for any artist in this day and age.

These are very exciting times for an artist, with a new and vast chapter of digital palettes to choose from and so many uniquely varied design applications available. A standard artist can progress to an advancing digital artist, empowering themselves with the ability to apply their talent to any given material through choice. Asking an artist to trade a standard bristle paint brush with a tablet and pen connected to a P.C. really seem to be worlds apart. Perhaps this is the case in some instances but ‘Where there’s a will there’s a way’ and with a little bit of a learning curve artists in today’s world are creating some of the most extraordinary, breathtaking and fascinating art, stepping up from the 2D platform to a 3D stage or combining the two together in a creative way and innovative fashion.

As new art forms are emerging from this digital era new names have to be found and applied to the new styles and techniques that are produced.
 This is very much an organic process and as an artist myself, I walk this path with much interest, desire, dedication and determination, inspired and enchanted by all that can be created, achieved and accomplished  working with this all new ‘digital medium’.
